Butter Ganache

Butter Ganache

Description: The easiest ganache you'll ever make and will just pour straight from your bowl into your Frost Form! Way less temperamental than traditional ganache and tastes like fudge, Yum!
Ingredients:
Butter (Can be salted or unsalted. Must be Real Block Butter)
Chocolate (Use Couverture Chocolate for best results. If you using chocolate bars make sure to break/chop it up )
Method:
1. Melt butter in Microwave or on a double boiler until liquid.
2. Pour butter over chocolate and leave to sit for 2-5 minutes.
3. Stir to combine.
4. If needed, continue to warm in microwave or double boiler being sure not to overheat it. If you are using a double boiler use a low-medium setting and only leave on for 1 minute at a time stirring constantly. If you are using a microwave use a medium heat in 10/15 second intervals, stirring well in between.
5. Colour using oil based products only.
Storage: It is best to make your Butter ganache up fresh as reheating can be temperamental. But you can cover it well and store in the fridge for a week or in freezer for approx two months
Sizing Guide: This recipe is enough to fill a Frost Form with a cake inside up to a 7" High Cake. If you want a different height then divide the ingredients by 7 and multiply by the height you want. For example if your cake is 5" high you would divide the ingredients by 7 and multiply by 5.
